Cochrane RCMP are on the hunt for a middle aged male who has been caught on surveillance dropping bent nails on the rear driveway of a River Heights home.

Corporal Troy Savinkoff with the Cochrane RCMP shares the reported incidents occurred this summer between the months of June to August, and appear to be a targeted in nature.

Although there is no known reason (at this time) as to why this resident would be targeted, Corporal Savinkoff says the case is bothersome “Actions like this are extremely concerning; this goes beyond causing damage to property, this could endanger people’s lives.”

Surveillance footage obtained from two of the incidents depict the suspect walking and cycling past the victim’s rear alley driveway and dropping bent roofing nails.

RCMP have released still images of the suspect who is described as being Caucasian, middle aged, with short hair on the sides. The suspect has been reported to ride a very distinct black bicycle with a rear splash guard.
