Your Guide to Cochrane’s
Must-Attend Events
Starts Here!
The Cochrane Historical Museum opens for the summer season this Saturday, May 16, 2026, giving locals and visitors a chance to step inside one of the community’s most charming heritage spaces. Located in the Historic Cochrane Ranche, the museum shares the stories of settlers, ranchers, farmers, educators and businesses that helped shape Cochrane and the surrounding area.
Housed in a distinctive brick building with a history of its own, this museum offers more than a look at artifacts behind glass.
The building was constructed in 1909 by the Davies family, using bricks from the Collin’s Brickyard, a once thriving local business. Before becoming a museum, it served as a Cochrane hospital, nursing home and private residence, before it was moved to its current location in 2014.
For families, newcomers, history lovers and anyone looking for a relaxed summer outing, the Cochrane Historical Museum is an easy addition to a Cochrane Ranche visit.
