Thirty-eight local businesses, community members, and organizations whose contributions make Cochrane a vibrant, friendly and thriving community have been nominated for 2021 community awards following a four-month long nomination process.
Awards will be given out in thirteen broad ranging categories including Mayor and Council’s Order of Cochrane, Citizen of the Year, Newsmaker of the Year and many more.
91.5 CochraneNow on-air hosts Eric Ruttle and Lauren Meister have teamed up to co-emcee the awards celebration, which takes place on Sunday, October 3 at the Cochrane RancheHouse starting at 2pm.
In recognition of health restrictions and best practices during the current pandemic, attendance at the awards ceremony will be restricted to nominees and their supporter, sponsors and those involved in hosting the event.
The community will have an opportunity to share in the excitement of the awards ceremony by watching the show highlights video which will be released after the ceremony. The video will capture the fanfare and celebration of the awards ceremony as it showcases the 2021 nominees and finalists.
Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination for the awards program. All nominations are carefully reviewed by the nominations committee, which is made up of a cross section of community members, to ensure they meet the criteria for the award category in which they were nominated.
