IT’S TIME TO VOTE COCHRANE – We have THREE finalists for our June 2025 Cochrane photo contest!

1. T. STOTHERS – Bee enjoying the lilac bush. Taken in my backyard in Gleneagles.

2. K. PEACE – Jumping Pound Ridge June 2 – 5:40am

3. N. HEAZELL – Steel coloured sky over our trusty-old, steel Bow River Bridge. Located on River Avenue, in July it will be converted to pedestrian traffic only. Made in the two span, Pennsylvania truss style in 1926, it is a popular feature crossing the river and connecting paths and places in Cochrane. I actually love the wood planking combined with steel.

Your Events Guide - Samantha

Samantha launched Urbancasual.ca in February 2018 with one goal in mind — to make it easier (and way more fun!) for Cochrane locals to find out what’s happening around town. She dreamed up a space that didn’t just list events, but celebrated the people and stories behind them — building a stronger, more connected community where everyone, from longtime residents to first-time visitors, feels right at home.
