Hello everyone, I’m Samantha, the gal behind Urban Casual Cochrane. It’s been awhile since I’ve introduced myself, so I thought I’d pop in to welcome you to my page (if you’re new here), or to thank you for following along.
I have lived in the Cochrane Area since 2008 and remember Cochrane BEFORE it became one of Canada’s Most sought after communities (who are we kidding, it always was!).
> I am a wife, a mother to two teens and I have two fur-babies.
> I am the Chair of the Cochrane Society for Housing Options, Cochrane’s affordable housing group. It is important to me that everyone has a safe place to call home.
> I am also a board member with Innovate Cochrane. Stay tuned for more about this venture!
> I spent many years rowing in highschool and in university, and may have a National title (or two) to my credit.

> I originally started UrbanCasual.ca in February of 2018, because I was tired of missing out on events around town and felt like there was no one place to find out what was going on?
Hopefully you feel like my events advertising has helped you in some way, either by knowing what’s on the go, having more people show up to your event or by having your event sell out!
While I am a marketer by trade, helping our local events is a happy addition to my work-life, either as a volunteer, a sponsor or an attendee. Meeting and getting to know you all has been an immense pleasure.
