Home-Made Irish Cream

This home-made Irish cream is super easy to make and it makes a nice gift too!

Originally, I used a recipe from Dinner with Julie, but have customized it over the years and numerous attempts.

To be honest, the best thing about this recipe is how creative you can get with it! Want to add cinnamon? Go ahead! Peppermint extract? Sure.

You can also throw in whatever alcohol you have around, like a nice spiced rum or a tequila if you did not have the whisky (or whiskey).

Tip 1: Add a ribbon or use a decorated jar.
Tip 2: Customize the ingredients to suit your own taste, or the tastes of your gift recipient.

Homemade Irish Cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 can whiskey or whisky ((using the sweetened condensed milk can to measure)
  • 1 can whipping or 18% cream
  • 1/2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 1/2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract ((optional))

  1. Blend all the ingredients and then pour into a glass jar, pitcher, or bottle.

  2. Ideally, refrigerate for 2 hours before serving. Shake or stir before pouring.
