Like many other things, Seniors’ Week in Cochrane, is being done differently this year.
The special week which celebrates our elder,s begins with a drive-by parade June 1 and continues with online and virtual events.
Cochrane Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) staff came up with this event and thought it might help to life the spirits of the residents in senior care facilities.
Seniors’ Week runs from June 1-7 and is a province-wide celebration of those over 50 in our community.
The parade will include Cochrane Fire Services, FCSS mascot Cinnamon Bear, classic cars, the Cochrane Pipe Band and more who will drive by all Cochrane senior living facilities between 9 and 11am.
