The Cochrane GM has stepped up to make a difference in the lives of the women and families supported byBig Hill Haven with a donation of 1,000 facemasks.

“Since opening our doors in Cochrane seven months ago, we are making every effort to support the community of Cochrane. When GM Canada supplied us with 1000 face masks for donation to a local community organization, we knew immediately that we wanted to donate to Big Hill Haven”, says Rob Dzikewich, General Manager.

Big Hill Haven will give the donated masks to the women and families in their care.

“Our role in the community is to keep the women we serve safe. The expense of masks is an added burden for many of our clients. This donation will allow us to distribute masks to all or our clients and their children so that this is one less thing they need to worry about.”

says Patti Fisher, Co-Founder and Program Manager with Big Hill Haven.

The need for domestic violence services continues to rise. From October to December 2020, Big Hill Haven served 22 clients and provided 150 nights of shelter.
