Cultivate Cochrane Society is a local non-profit organization that teaches people about growing food in this climate, food sustainability, supporting community connections, and increasing one’s resilience in the ongoing changes happening around the globe regarding food, water, and health access. We are currently seeking volunteers in numerous areas including ongoing maintenance and improvements to our Passive Solar mobile greenhouse, event planning and support, grant applications, program support, and long range planning for a permanent, largescale greenhouse and community space. We also require board members to oversee the operations of Cultivate Cochrane, continue building community networks, and increase stakeholders.
If you would love to work with an exciting group of passionate people who love food and seeing things grow, reach out to us. You do not need a green thumb or need to know how to garden. We can teach you, plus people with a variety of skills are needed. If you have an idea to bring forward, please let us know. We will work with you to match your interests with our needs. Individuals, groups, and organizations are welcome. People of all ages and life stages are welcome. Perhaps this could be a team building opportunity for your organization, church, community group!
