MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual is making Christmas brighter for two local non-profit organization in Cochrane.
The “Giving Tree” in MR MIKES Steakhouse has been decorated with Christmas wishes from Big Hill Haven and the Cochrane Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area (BGCCA). Those wishing to make Christmas brighter for those who need a hand, can stop by MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual to pick up a card and fulfill a Christmas Wish.
“MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual is glad to help out two such worthy causes with our Giving Tree, “said Brad Trent, General Manager. “We invite everyone down to select a tag from the giving tree. As our way of building the Christmas spirit, we will give our “givers” a gift certificate from MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual. Giving back to community charities and helping them be successful is something we want to be a part of.”
Tags on the tree include wishes for Christmas gifts for teenagers to gift card requests for clients of Big Hill Haven.
“The Giving Tree is a fabulous way to celebrate the season,” said Tara McFadden, Fund Development Officer for Big Hill Haven. “People have been reaching out and asking how they can brighten up Christmas for Big Hill Haven clients and the Giving Tree is our answer. We are asking for grocery, gas, and local shopping gift certificates for the women and families that we are working with. It is a great community gesture for MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual to support us this way.”
This is the second time that MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual has reached out to support Big Hill Haven and the Boys and Girls Club with a community event.
“We are thankful to MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual and to have the opportunity to partner with Big Hill Haven for the 2020 Giving Tree. During this time of uncertainty, what a wonderful way to have our BGCCA teens have their Christmas gift wish come true. Thank you to everyone who donates, we are grateful.”
The Giving Tree is part of MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual “Deeds Well Done” program. This is the 8th year of the program and reflects their commitment to being involved in their communities. The charities will be collecting the gifts on December 21 to pass on to the women, teens, and children that they support, so that gifts will be ready for Christmas.
The Giving Tree will be up until December 31 and donations will be accepted until the that time.
