Hunter Valley Adventures is located on the Upper Red Deer River & offers outdoor family adventures that include whitewater rafting, canoeing, fishing, hiking, yoga and classic camp games.
In the summer of 2021, our family had the chance to experience a full-day of rafting and we would go back again in a heartbeat! The only thing that could have made the day more perfect, is if ‘Mom’ hadn’t left the picnic lunch in the car. Boy were the teenagers surly about that!
We borrowed gear from HVA, which was nice because we definitely would have been much wetter wearing our own gear, plus we felt confident after a pre-trip briefing & travelling the route with our competent guide.
Overall the day was full of laughs, the sun was shining and we walked away feeling like we had just fully discovered / learned about a part of Alberta pretty close to our home.
