Cochrane youth ages 8 – 12 years old got their groove on last Friday night for the First Annual Jelly Bean Dance at Frank Wills Memorial Hall. This event was organized by the Community Associations of Sunset Ridge, Heritage Hills & East Cochrane and invited the whole community to come out for a night of dancing, pizza and music at a cost of $5 per child.

JELLY BEAN GUESSER WINNER – CHASE MELBY!

AND, HE SHARED THE JELLY BEANS WITH THE OTHER KIDS AT THE DANCE.

Music was provided by Split Circuit Sound, a fabulous deejay duo who kept the kids interested and having fun! They came armed with an arsenal of glow sticks and played tunes the kids wanted to hear, like Baby Shark, High Hopes and Cha-Cha Slide 2!

I was there on behalf of my CA, but I had so much fun watching the kids come dressed up in party dresses, slicked back hair and how serious they took this dance party! I am already excited about organizing the next one (though I may need a BIGGER venue!), because the level of fun in the room was beyond the WHY of why we organized it!!

SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS >>> to Chase Melby, the Jelly Bean Guesser Winner!

Who is looking forward to the next youth dance already?
