Welcome to Writer’s Unplugged Open Mic ! Join us at Found Books & Shop in collaboration with the Alexandra Writers Centre Society for a night of creativity and community.

Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just starting out, this event is the perfect opportunity to share your work in a supportive environment. Come listen to fellow writers, poets, musicians and storytellers, or take the stage yourself! Let your words flow freely and connect with like-minded individuals. Don’t miss out on this chance to be inspired and inspire others. It’s easy. Show up with a max of 5 minutes of material to share. Throw your name into the duck bowl. Readers are drawn at random.
Please register in advance so we know you’re coming.

We launched on March 27, 2024 and are running on the last Wednesday of the month thereafter. Share your words while surrounded by walls of books, in front of the friendliest audience you’ll ever meet.
