My favourite month of the year is coming up (who else loves October??) and I can’t wait!
I love all the Autumn colours, the falling leaves, the cooling temperatures (Hello, sweater weather!) and I may also be looking forward to a feed of turkey and Hallowe’en dress-up. But this October also has a few fun-fundraisers planned to support some amazing causes. You will need a ticket in advance, so let’s help these two groups plan ahead for their events and snag one (or two or three) now!
First up, we have the Boys & Girls Club of Cochrane & Area. They have organized a Night at the Improv, with entertainment and a silent auction taking place at The Venue Bar and Grill on Saturday October 20, 2018!
For only $35, you’ll experience a night of fun entertainment provided by The Kinkonauts Improv Lab and The Bow River Band! Food includes a steak sandwich with all the fixin’s and a drink.
Come out to support this amazing youth club in town and bring your friends too!

The second group who has planned a night of fun is the Big Hill Haven Emergency Shelter. They are so thankful for all the support Cochrane & Area has shown them over the years, that they want to throw a big party to say THANK YOU!
MasquerAid 2018 will be an evening of dancing and live entertainment by the band LOWTIDE, on Saturday, October 27th at the Lions Event Centre. There will be plenty of amazing prizes to be won too, plus a VIP area and a Psychic Lounge. Food will also be available for purchase.
So grab your mask, dress in costume (but only if you want to)
and let’s have ourselves a grown-up party!
