On the tenth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me,
Ten Lords a Leaping…
Ten Lords a leaping over this chacuterie board & our next giveaway!
In 2015 Brian Biggart decided to enter a scroll-sawed, handmade frame in to the 2015 Calgary Stampede Western Art Exhibition and he won 1st place!
Though self taught and a one man team, Biggart opened his business in 2016 and has continued to experiment and fine tune his process, working on each piece until it is just right.
“I make everything and anything when it comes to wood. I specialize in resin river cutting and charcuterie boards. I also make normal cutting boards, picture frames, fly boxes, bottle openers, coasters and scroll saw art!”
For the majority of his projects, Biggart Woodworking says the live edge woods are all salvaged and reclaimed.
“Sometimes a homeowner or a municipality needs to remove a tree, so instead an arborist will come and take the tree, cut it into slabs and dry it, to give it a second life as opposed to it going to the dump or a landfill.”
Biggart Woodworking will be at the Markit Cochrane this weekend, Saturday, December 15th from 10am to 3pm at the Cochrane Alliance Church. Be sure to look for him and snag a one of a kind gift!
