FALL PROGRAM SIGN-UP –
The SLS Fall Programs registration opens on August 20th for Members and on August 23rd for the Public.
Check out what’s new this Fall? Line Dancing, Capoeira, Nutrition for Fitness, Release & Relieve, Qi-Gong, Bouldering, Intro to STEM and Aquatic Fitness: Warm Water and Deep Water Exercise.
AUGUST 24TH –
STOP, DROP & RUN – The Stop, Drop & Run Obstacle Challenge is happening August 24th. This event features a 5K run/relay for individuals and teams, plus a course for kids ages 2 – 12. This event is in support of the Cochrane Firefighters Assistance Charitable Society.
BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR – Enjoy activites for all ages from 10am to 2pm, including life-size games, balloon animals, glitter tattos, a photo booth and Butterfield Acres petting zoo. This FREE event is offered in partnership with the FCSS of Cochrane, Family Resource Network and a generous donation by Cochrane Home Treasures.
GEAR SWAP – Donate your gently used equipment for ice sports, dry land sports, aquatics and running shoes on August 24 in two times:
GEAR SWAP WITH SWAP PASS – 10am to 11am
GEAR SWAP OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – 11am to 2pm
DROP OFF donations from August 18th to 23rd from 6am to 9pm. Get your SWAP PASS with your donation!
SEPTEMBER 3RD –
FULL FACILITY CLOSURE – With safety in mind, this biennial shutdown of the SLS Centre will occur on Tuesday, September 3rd for necessary electrical upgrades and repairs. The facility will re-open on September 4th.
SEPTEMBER 3 TO OCTOBER 1 –
ANNUAL AQUATIC CENTRE SHUTDOWN – The pool and hot tub will be closed from Tuesday, September 3 to October 1. During this time the SLS Centre will be draining, inspecting, repairing, upgrading, cleaning, refilling and training staff.
