We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Crossing at Ghost River as ‘Two Mom Friends Off-Duty for the Night‘ and let me tell you, all of it was divine.
Nestled amidst the tranquil beauty of Alberta and only twenty minutes outside of Cochrane, this hidden gem offers the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation to suit any getaway.

Spend your days in the soothing sounds of nature, exploring the two-plus kilometres of trails on the property, or simply relax by the river & firepit.
You can even do nothing at all and choose to soak up all the atmosphere of this 145 scenic acres property on one of its many sun decks.

A Brief History:
“The Crossing at Ghost River first began with the region’s Indigenous people, who used this spot – a low point as a crossing. In later years, this crossing connected and aided early explorers, traders, and settlers in many of the same ways.
In the 1970’s, The Crossing started its journey as a unique conference and retreat centre, providing a meeting place to exchange ideas and connect with oneself, with nature, and with others.”

Amenities
With plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy, there is also a fitness centre on-site as well as, a meeting/board room and a lounge/games room.
The Stir-Up Bar: This cowboy themed bar features a delicious menu of exquisite cocktails (think… smoked Manhattans!), brews and vinos. Come in for a pre-dinner drink, a nightcap or to warm up after a chilly day of winter activities.
