The Town of Cochrane Economic Development is making it easier for local employers to meet the employees they need to achieve success. With the 10th Annual Cochrane Job Fair set to hit the Lion’s Event Centre on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 from 10am to 2pm, more than 250+ job seekers will gather in one place, hoping to find the employer of their dreams.
“The Town puts a lot of work into making the Job Fair a valuable experience for local employers,” says Mike Korman, Cochrane’s Economic Development manager. “We support local businesses because we know a thriving local economy is good for the community in general, as well as business owners and employees.”
Attending the job fair as an employer does have its perks – read: FREE to participate, as each registered employer will receive a table and chairs with enough space to post their company information, current job openings, collect resumes, screen candidates, and in some cases, conduct short interviews.
Businesses do not need to have current job openings to take part, but are encouraged to learn more about Cochrane’s diverse talent pool and to build awareness of their organization.
