Grilling is an art, and with a few simple tips, you can master it… no matter the cut of beef. Canada Beef recommends cuts such as ribeye or striploin for their tenderness and flavour; however, marinating your beef can enhance its taste, juiciness and tenderness… especially if you’re using a cheaper cut of beef like a flank or a flat iron steak.
When it comes to grilling, temperature control is key. Preheat your grill to about 400°F for optimal searing. Flip your beef only once to ensure even cooking. Let your beef rest for a few minutes after grilling, which allows the juices to redistribute.
Bring the steakhouse experience to your backyard with Steakhouse on a Stick Skewers – made using bottom sirloin grilling steak. This dish is not only flavourful but also visually appealing, perfect for summer get-togethers.
Start by cutting beef into chunky cubes, about 1.5 inches each. Pair these with vegetables such as onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Thread them onto skewers, alternating between meat and veggies.
Barbecue brisket is a classic choice that doesn’t require a smoker and only requires a cut of pot roast (watch for sales at the grocery store). Begin by selecting a brisket with a good fat cap. This fat will render down, adding flavour and moisture.
Steps to Cook Brisket:
Season: Use a dry rub with paprika, cumin, and brown sugar.
Sear: Brown the brisket on all sides.
Slow Cook: Place in the oven at 275°F for approximately 6 hours until tender.
Celebrate Father’s Day with a meal that feels luxurious yet is easy on the wallet.
These Italian Beef Stuffed Peppers make an excellent summer dish and this Summer Beef and Berry Salad can be made with an inside, outside or sirloin tip roast.
