The Kimmett Cup is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of community and sportsmanship in Cochrane. Held annually since 2009, this event honors the memory of Lindsay Kimmett, who had a profound love for hockey and community involvement.
The Kimmett Cup, (February 7th and 8th) brings people together annually to engage in a co-ed pond hockey championship, where participants and spectators alike gather at Mitford Pond and the SLS Centre to enjoy the excitement of hockey, all while supporting local charities.
This year, the event’s proceeds will benefit Helping Families Handle Cancer, the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Helping Hands of Cochrane.
Friday, February 7th – Mitford Pond Hockey action starts at 6pm.
Saturday, February 8th –
Small Mitford Pond: Games run 8am to 5pm
Spray Lake Sawmills Arena: Games run 8am to 4:30pm
