NIYA by Vee – Concert at FOUND

A concert at Found is focused on artistry over spectacle.

VEE is an Alberta – based Cree, multi-disciplinary artist. She is registered and a member of Cowessess FN in SK.She interweaves land, Indigenous identity, history, and language throughout her dance and music creation/performance practice. A classically trained flutist, she holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Calgary and an MFA in Contemporary Arts from Simon Fraser University.
What to Expect:
NIYA is her new solo show of electric flute sounds, synths, and spoken word. Songs evoke inner landscapes of love, identity, and loss. In her signature storytelling woven with humor, she invites audiences into her intimate world-scape of soothing sounds, upbeat piano, and lyric flute melodies.
