Cultural Cooking without Borders

April 23 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join us for a special afternoon of connection, culture, and delicious food at our Cultural Cooking Without Borders event.
This edition celebrates Brazil through one of its most beloved comfort dishes, Arroz de Carreteiro (Trucker’s Rice). More than just a meal, this dish carries stories, traditions, and the spirit of sharing around the table. Our guest chef for the day, Fernando Battistella, will guide participants through this flavorful experience.
The event will take place on Thursday, April 23, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Frank Wills Hall Kitchen, located at 405 1 St E, Cochrane.
Hosted as part of the Newcomer Safe Space Program, this gathering is all about bringing people together, creating meaningful connections, and celebrating the diversity that strengthens our community.
Whether you come for the food, the stories, or the chance to meet new people, you will be welcomed into a space where cultures meet and friendships begin.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors and partners for making this event possible: Samba Brazilian Market, Guatimi Specialty Coffee, Frank Wills Community Hall, Rotary Club of Cochrane, Two Pharmacy, Rocky View Immigrant Services, and the Government of Alberta.
Come cook, taste, and connect. One dish at a time.
To register, please email cisccochrane@gmail.com or call 587-582-1771.
We look forward to sharing this experience with you 🇧🇷🇨🇦
