Author Talk with Judy Stewart

April 25 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Event Series (See All)
Free

The Cochrane Public Library is thrilled to welcome back local Cochrane author Judy Stewart to the library for a warm and engaging author talk featuring her new book Enriched Childhood. This delightful memoir invites readers of all ages into the childhood of Jacquie, who grew up on a rural Quebec farm in a large French Canadian family during the early nineteen sixties.

Through Stewart’s warm and vivid storytelling, readers meet Mama and Papere and experience the antics that brought both laughter and tears to family life. Protagonist, Jacquie, and her siblings eventually leave the farm, but the memories they created together leave lasting marks on each of them. As an adult, Jacquie looks back on these moments with humour, tenderness, and a unique sense of perspective that follows her even into the rear view mirror, where unexpected tailgaters seem to appear everywhere.

This author event is perfect for families, readers who enjoy local stories, and anyone who appreciates heartfelt tales rooted in family, place, and imagination. Come meet Judy Stewart, hear the stories behind Enriched Childhood, and celebrate the storytelling talent in our Cochrane community.

Everyone is welcome, no registration required.
