Cochranites invited to cast their vote: Help us select a name for our snow plows and street sweeper!

(Cochrane, AB) – Cochrane’s young minds have set the stage for a lively winter season! Grade 3 students were challenged to submit their most creative names for the Town’s four crucial snow plows, including a brand new addition and a dedicated street sweeper.  And now we’re calling on the community to join in on the fun by voting for their favourite’s.

“Our grade 3 students have truly captured the spirit of Cochrane in their creative submissions,” Drew Hyndman, Executive Director Development & Infrastructure Services, Town of Cochrane. “The addition of a new snowplow to our fleet will play a vital role in ensuring our dedicated Roads team can keep Cochrane’s streets safe and passable this winter. Rolling this new equipment out with a fun community campaign makes this extra special, and we are very thankful to all of the schools who participated.”

The names suggested by our young thinkers were carefully reviewed and shortlisted by Administration based on creativity, popularity and how well the names capture the unique spirit of Cochrane.
