Fireside Skate Park Opening

We’re celebrating the grand opening of the new skatepark in Fireside Central Park with a full day of community fun.

Join us on Saturday, June 6, as we officially open one of Fireside’s newest gathering spaces with skateboarding sessions, live music, food trucks, giveaways, and plenty of excitement for all ages. 

Whether you’re stepping on a skateboard for the very first time or already landing tricks, this event is all about bringing the community together and making the most of this incredible new space.

The morning session is dedicated to young riders (13 and under) looking to learn, improve skills, and build confidence at the skatepark. 

Led by experienced skateboard coaches, this session will give kids and teens the opportunity to: 

• Learn skateboarding basics 
• Practice techniques safely 
• Build confidence on different features 
• Connect with other young riders in the community 

If participants don’t have their own equipment, skateboards and safety gear will be available for use during the event. We want everyone to have the chance to join in, learn, and enjoy the experience.

In the afternoon, the skatepark opens up for a community-wide jam session. 

This session is all about having fun, trying out the new features, and enjoying the atmosphere together. 

Whether you skate or just want to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere, everyone’s welcome.

Designed as a fun and welcoming space for riders of different ages and skill levels, the Fireside Skatepark adds another active outdoor amenity to the community. 

The park features a mix of skate elements and flow areas designed for progression, creativity, and everyday use—creating a place where kids, teens, families, and friends can gather, stay active, and connect outdoors.
