Found Books & Shop is partnering with Blue Willow Entertainment to bring you Found Sounds: a bi-monthly music series blending live performance with intimate conversation.

Think Tiny Desk meets cozy listening room, with a touch of podcast-style storytelling. Each event features a different musical artist who not only shares their songs but also the stories, inspirations, and creative process behind them. The result? An up-close, personal evening where music and conversation flow together in a way that feels both raw and inspiring. Perfect for music lovers, curious minds, and anyone who craves connection through art, Found Sounds transforms our bookstore into a warm, one-of-a-kind listening space.

March 28th, 2026 we welcome Justine Vandergrift to the stage.

With a growing body of studio albums, authentic writing, rich, evocative vocals, smart collaborations and sure-footed production values, Justine Vandergrift has evolved from craft to impressive artistry. Traces of Patsy Cline, Patty Griffin, Bonnie Raitt and other country influences inform her brand of rootsy Canadiana, while national and European tours further establish her as a rising star in Alberta’s musical firmament. “Justine Vandergrift is an emerging artist with that most precious and rare gift – an original voice. It’s hard to capture such things in words but hearing is believing. “. -Stephen Fearing “Occasionally a new artist emerges that immediately demands respect and attention. Justine Vandergrift is one such artist. She will make a solid impact on anyone who has the privilege of hearing her songs.” -Bill Bourne “Every once in a while, we’ll come across an artist who truly connects us to their spirit. Sometimes it happens in a large concert setting and sometimes, as in my case, it happens around a campfire. With only one song, Justine displayed her ethereal voice and imaginative lyrics to connect with with those of us privileged to be there. It was my wish that someday people might share in what we felt that night. A true artist deserving of much wider recognition!” -Jay Amar “Justine’s debut album ‘Yes Alright Ok’ is full of brilliant songwriting, great, thoughtful lyrics and very convincing melodies.”
–Peter Holmsedt (Hemifran Music, Sweden.) ‘In an industry glutted with splash in the pan artists, Justine Vandergrift stands out as a genuine talent who is in the music business for the long haul.’ -Rhea March, Host & Producer of ‘Almost Famous’ on CKUA Radio Network and ‘It Takes A Village’ on CJSR Radio.
