National Day for Truth & Reconciliation

September 30 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Join us on Monday, September 30 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. at The Station at Cochrane Crossing as we come together to honour Survivors, remember those lost and reflect on our shared path toward reconciliation.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action – a time to recognize the progress made and the important work still ahead.

✨ Experience culture & tradition: Métis fiddle & jig, storytelling, and a traditional hide tanning demo
🎨 Take part in art: Create commemorative postcards with local artists
🍞 Taste & share: Bannock samples & refreshments
📚 Discover resources: Indigenous literature from Cochrane Public Library + wellness supports from Family and Community Support Services (FCSS).

Presented in partnership with Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery, Wazin Ichinabi Ti, Cochrane Public Library, Otipemisiwak Métis Government District 4, and FCSS.

📍 All municipal facilities will be closed on September 30, giving space to honour Survivors and continue learning about the legacy of residential schools.
