Celebrate Summer with Campfire Cones

Summertime is definitely all about the food. Have you ever made Campfire Cones? If you haven’t tried a Campfire Cone before, you have been missing out AND what the heck are you waiting for?!

Filled with your favourite s’more making ingredients, Campfire cones (unlike their name implies) can be made on the grill, in the oven, or heated over a campfire.

The whole concept is extremely simple to make. All you need is a waffle cone (any size cone works, sugar cone or otherwise), marshmallows, other fun toppings, aluminum foil and you are set!

Load up the ingredients you want into the cone, wrap in foil (spray with PAM if you are using marshmallow) and bake.

Suggested Toppings- marshmallows – chocolate, butterscotch or white chocolate chips – Real Treat Cookies (Cochrane’s Own locally made cookie treat!) – peanut butter – Fresh Fruit – sliced strawberries, banana, blueberry etc. – coconut – Granola – Candy

Directions: Line each cone with peanut butter if you wish.

Fill with your favourite toppings. Don’t hold back.

Wrap each cone in foil.

Oven – Bake for 350F for 5 – 7 minutes.

Grill – Place on a heated grill for 5 – 10 minutes, turning occasionally.

Campfire – Heat the foil-wrapped cones over a campfire for 3 – 5 minutes, or until the chocolate and marshmallows have melted.

No matter how you like them, ENJOY!
