SUMMARY:Shane Pendergast in Concert
DESCRIPTION:Live on the Found Stage: April 16\, 2026 \nThere’s something special about music at Found (if we don’t say so ourselves). This comes from the way the room gathers around a voice\, how the lights soften\, how neighbours and strangers end up sharing a table and a moment. Our stage was built for nights exactly like this: intimate\, close-up\, and filled with that electric hush you only get when live music feels personal. \nOn April 16\, we welcome Shane Pendergast to the Found Stage. \nShane Pendergast is a folksinger from Tracadie Cross\, Prince Edward Island. Hailing from a long lineage of storytellers and musicians in Prince Edward Island\, he is keeping the Maritime folk tradition alive with his honest and insightful compositions. From acclaimed folk festivals across the world to the small halls of PEI\, Shane has cemented himself as one of Atlantic Canada’s finest folk troubadours. His 2021 album ‘Second Wind” won Contemporary Roots Album of the Year at the Music PEI Awards. Shane released his fourth album “Winter Grace” in January of 2025. \n  \nExpect a cozy winter night of music\, wine\, and community – the kind of evening that reminds you why live music matters and why this little stage in Cochrane\, Alberta has become such a beloved spot. \nMore About Shane Pendergast: \nShane Pendergast has folk music in his blood. Hailing from a long lineage of storytellers and musicians on Prince Edward Island\, Shane carries the Maritime folk tradition forward with his honest and insightful compositions. From the intimate halls of PEI to celebrated folk festivals across the globe\, he has cemented his reputation as one of Atlantic Canada’s finest folk troubadours. \nShane’s 2021 album\, Second Wind\, won Contemporary Roots Album of the Year at the Music PEI Awards\, solidifying his place in the folk music scene. His 2023 live album\, The House Before the Bridge\, was recognized with a nomination for Roots/Traditional Album of the Year at the East Coast Music Awards. In 2025\, Shane released his fourth album\, Winter Grace\, an ethereal offering inspired by the Maritime landscape and a moment of skating on a frozen bay. \nThrough evocative storytelling and intricate guitar stylings\, Shane Pendergast captures the essence of life in the Maritimes\, weaving themes of community\, history\, and nature into every song.

SUMMARY:Concert: Dominique Adams & Jacob Brodovsky
DESCRIPTION:Found Books & Shop is excited to welcome back to the stage Dominique Adams & Jacob Brodovsky April 10th\, 2026!! \nA concert at Found is focused on artistry over spectacle. \n\nBooks line the walls\, creating a creative\, reflective setting\nThe crowd often includes writers\, readers\, artists\, and music lovers\nThe tone is attentive and respectful—people really listen\nFound is a licensed establishment & has a coffee bar – grab a glass of wine\, latte or beer & settle in\n\nDominique Adams is a Winnipeg-based contemporary folk artist. Driving Dominique’s artistry is her lush and thoughtful approach to song writing\, in tandem with her vocals – singular and iconic\, inviting and heartfelt. Her debut full-length album Titled To Keep\, was recorded in spring of 2024 with friends Liam Duncan (Boy Golden)\, Austin Parachoniak (Boy Golden\, Del Barber)\, and Keiran Placatka (William Prince\, Leith Ross). It was released on July 18th 2025 with Birthday Cake Records\, and saw her play Winnipeg Folk Fest\, and spend multiple weeks on college and satellite radio charts. \n  \nJacob Brodovsky is a singer-songwriter from Winnipeg\, Manitoba\, Treaty One Territory. He writes songs about feelings\, the people who have them\, the places that create them\, and the fears we have about them. Jacob’s debut full length album I Love You and I’m Sorry earned him a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award for English Songwriter of the Year. Jacob’s sophomore LP Tell The Kids We Tried is out July 10th on Make My Day Records. It was recorded with producers Gavin Gardiner and Champagne James Robinson (MOONRIIVR)\, crafting a contemporary folk record that tugs at the heartstrings while recounting Jacob’s steadfastly hopeful approach to losing the community he’d known his whole life. \n  \nAfter meeting by chance at a house show\, the Dom an Jacob accidentally wrote an album together and began collaborating on each others solo work. When Dom and Jacob bring their respective voices and writing styles together\, they write intimate and thoughtful songs born out a true collaborative partnership

SUMMARY:Found Sounds Vol 4: Justine Vandergrift
DESCRIPTION:Tickets & More Details HERE  \nFound Books & Shop is partnering with Blue Willow Entertainment to bring you Found Sounds: a bi-monthly music series blending live performance with intimate conversation. \nThink Tiny Desk meets cozy listening room\, with a touch of podcast-style storytelling. Each event features a different musical artist who not only shares their songs but also the stories\, inspirations\, and creative process behind them. The result? An up-close\, personal evening where music and conversation flow together in a way that feels both raw and inspiring. Perfect for music lovers\, curious minds\, and anyone who craves connection through art\, Found Sounds transforms our bookstore into a warm\, one-of-a-kind listening space. \nMarch 28th\, 2026 we welcome Justine Vandergrift to the stage. \nWith a growing body of studio albums\, authentic writing\, rich\, evocative vocals\, smart collaborations and sure-footed production values\, Justine Vandergrift has evolved from craft to impressive artistry. Traces of Patsy Cline\, Patty Griffin\, Bonnie Raitt and other country influences inform her brand of rootsy Canadiana\, while national and European tours further establish her as a rising star in Alberta’s musical firmament. “Justine Vandergrift is an emerging artist with that most precious and rare gift – an original voice. It’s hard to capture such things in words but hearing is believing. “. -Stephen Fearing “Occasionally a new artist emerges that immediately demands respect and attention. Justine Vandergrift is one such artist. She will make a solid impact on anyone who has the privilege of hearing her songs.” -Bill Bourne “Every once in a while\, we’ll come across an artist who truly connects us to their spirit. Sometimes it happens in a large concert setting and sometimes\, as in my case\, it happens around a campfire. With only one song\, Justine displayed her ethereal voice and imaginative lyrics to connect with with those of us privileged to be there. It was my wish that someday people might share in what we felt that night. A true artist deserving of much wider recognition!” -Jay Amar “Justine’s debut album ‘Yes Alright Ok’ is full of brilliant songwriting\, great\, thoughtful lyrics and very convincing melodies.”
–Peter Holmsedt (Hemifran Music\, Sweden.) ‘In an industry glutted with splash in the pan artists\, Justine Vandergrift stands out as a genuine talent who is in the music business for the long haul.’ -Rhea March\, Host & Producer of ‘Almost Famous’ on CKUA Radio Network and ‘It Takes A Village’ on CJSR Radio.

SUMMARY:Cara Luft in Concert
DESCRIPTION:Tickets are more details HERE \nLive on the Found Stage: February 19\, 2026 \nThere’s something special about music at Found (if we don’t say so ourselves). This comes from the way the room gathers around a voice\, how the lights soften\, how neighbours and strangers end up sharing a table and a moment. Our stage was built for nights exactly like this: intimate\, close-up\, and filled with that electric hush you only get when live music feels personal. \nOn February 19\, we welcome Cara Luft to the Found Stage. You may know her as a Juno Award–winning musician\, a founding member of The Wailin’ Jennys\, or simply as one of the most joy-filled performers in Canadian folk music. But what we’re most excited for is how her storytelling\, laughter\, and gorgeous songwriting will land in this room – a space made for connection\, warmth\, and being fully present. \nExpect a cozy winter night of music\, wine\, and community – the kind of evening that reminds you why live music matters and why this little stage in Cochrane\, Alberta has become such a beloved spot. \nMore About Cara Luft \nJuno award winning singer-songwriter-musician Cara Luft is that rare artist steeped in folk and traditional roots music almost from birth\, yet willing to alter the fabric\, stretch the boundaries and fearlessly bend genres and styles. A founding member of Canadian folk super-group The Wailin’ Jennys and the brainchild behind Winnipeg’s acclaimed powerhouse duo The Small Glories\, Luft deserves her solid reputation as one of Canada’s finest live performers\, armed with amazing tenacity\, vision\, energy and a contagious hilarity. \nTo quote the roots magazine No Depression\, “Luft has a rich tradition in folk music – it’s safe to assume that she knows her stuff – and upon listening it becomes quite clear that she is indeed a formidable songwriter and performer… [The] lovely Ms. Luft sets the bar for the talented few who’ll follow in her footsteps.” Cara has a spirit that drives her to connect with people\, and for this she is loved everywhere she goes. \nReviewers of her live shows talk about her compelling vocals\, superb musicianship\, humorous anecdotes\, accomplished songwriting\, ability to switch between styles and the charm of her stage presence. Cara’s the real deal\, there’s nothing pretentious about her. And that sense of honesty\, integrity\, personality and spontaneity permeates both her music and her live shows. “Long may she reign!” (Lonesome Highway)
