Honestly\, we were a little surprised when Jordan and Kristen reached out to play again\, because it feels like they’ve outgrown our little series\, winning major awards and playing major festivals in Europe and North America. And remember\, as always\, all the funds going directly to the musicians. \n\nQuote the Raven\, the acclaimed Canadian duo of Jordan Coaker and Kirsten Rodden-Clarke\, have been enchanting audiences with their haunting harmonies and sharp wit for over a decade. Originating from Newfoundland and Labrador\, their unique blend of Americana and East Coast folk has garnered them widespread recognition. \n\nTheir sophomore album\, “Can’t Hold the Light\,” which delves into the lives of working musicians\, won the 2022 East Coast Music Award (ECMA) for Contemporary Roots Recording of the Year and received two Canadian Folk Music Award nominations. The duo has also been honoured as Music Newfoundland & Labrador’s Group of the Year in 2019\, 2021\, and 2022. \n\nIn 2025\, Quote the Raven received multiple ECMA nominations\, including Album of the Year for their upcoming release\, Map the Dark\, and Roots Release of the Year for their single “Already Gone.” \n\nAs of 2025\, Quote the Raven has achieved over one and a half million streams across various platforms\, reflecting their growing international appeal. With a dynamic stage presence\, the duo has performed extensively across Canada and internationally\, including tours in Australia\, the UK and US. They have showcased at prominent events such as Folk Alliance International\, AmericanaFest and AmericanaFestUK\, Your Roots Are Showing in Ireland\, and the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA). Their engaging performances and authentic storytelling continue to captivate listeners worldwide. \n\nWe’re going to take a little break over December and January for hockey season\, but we’ll be back with Lynne Hanson\, February 20\, 2026\, Suzie Ungerleider (with Ben Sures and Matt Patershuk) March 12\, 2026\, and Iona Lane\, March 28\, 2026. As always\, the cost will be $25 per ticket and your ticket can be secured with an e-transfer to tickets@willowspringsss.com.\n\nNamed Penguin Eggs & Roots Music Canada’s New Discovery of the Year (2024)\, Aleksi Campagne offers a contemporary\, indie-folktake on the time-honoured fiddle-singing tradition. Born and raised in Montreal\, Aleksi’smusic blends folk songwriting with an edgy\,multi-layered sound resulting from his unique combination of voice\, violin and looping-effect pedals. His debut album For The Giving / Sansrien donner was just nominated for a CanadianFolk Music Award (April 2024)\, and is a fully bilingual album offering 10 songs in French and the same 10 songs in English.\n\nAleksi’s debut has been a whirlwind! Aleksi was selected as a Mariposa Folk Festival EmergingArtist to perform at the festival. His first singleAnother Day was picked by Paul Corby as a TopSingle of 2022. He was then celebrated by Tom Coxworth as one of the Top 5 Favourite acts at the Folk Alliance International Conference\, alongside acts like The Fretless and Mary Gautier. His second single Won’t be Scared was selected as the only Canadian finalist in the Kerrville Folk Festival’s Grassy Hill New FolkCompetition for Emerging Song writers. In July 2023. Aleksi Launched his debut album\, which debuted at #22 FAI Folk Charts.\n\nIn a review in Le Devoir by Sylvain Cormier\, Aleksi’s debut was compared to that of Patric Watson and half Moon Run. According to Roots Music Canada\, “Aleksi Campagne finessed one of the most musically ambitious accomplishments of the year\, an impeccable double album\, one set of songs in two conjoined bilingual packages.” He is now touring his album with other 50 shows in Canada and the United States!
