DESCRIPTION:Artists will have an exciting opportunity to participate in the Come Paint Alberta Plein Air Circuit by registering for this fun\, six-day event organized by the Route 22 Artist Collective! \nFor this upcoming Art in the Park\, we are opening up the week leading up to September 29th to allow plein air artists more time to paint during the opening hours of the Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation. This will help accommodate busy artists and/or unpredictable weather. Artist will be required to have their canvas supports stamped with the official CPA stamp at the Route 22 Gallery during gallery hours before heading out to plein air paint. \nArtists will receive their swag bag and can enjoy a continental breakfast on the morning of September 28th at Route 22 Gallery! Artists will then head to the historic Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation (GRPF) to set up for some inspiring plein air painting. GRPF golf carts will be assisting with shuttling artists and their materials around the park. DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE OUTHOUSE RACES\n\n\nThe Cochrane Outhouse Races will take place in historic downtown Cochrane on September 22nd 2024 where teams from local businesses and organizations push homemade outhouse race carts down First Street\, chuck wagon-style. \n​ \nAll outhouses must have a toilet inside\, four people from the team will push\, and a fifth will ride on the “throne” inside. This year\, only runners can turn the cart; the rider is just along for the ride\, and riders must wear helmets. We welcome any creative interpretations of these basic rules! \n​ \nTo register\, each team contributes a donation\, with all proceeds donated by the Rocky Mountain Rotary Club to local organizations in need. The benefactor each year is announced in advance and recognized at the event itself. \n​ \nThe generosity of our community is remarkable\, making this quirky event a draw for visitors from far and wide\, always bringing laughs and friendly competition.
