DESCRIPTION:CPKC Holiday Train set to stop in Cochrane this year\nEric Ruttle – Cochrane Now – Oct 11 2024 \nChoo-choo! The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train has locked in a date to bring holiday cheer to Cochrane this year. \nThe festive train will be making an appearance in Cochrane on Sunday\, December 15 at 3 p.m. between the Provincial building and the old Rexall building on Main Street. Cochranites will be treated to a performance by Magic! and Sofia Camara. \nEveryone attending the free event is encouraged to bring a cash or non-perishable food donation. In years prior\, thousands of dollars have been raised for the Cochrane Food Bank. \n“We are pleased to again send this magical train on a four-week trip across our network spreading holiday joy as we collect food and raise money to fight food insecurity. We look forward to again seeing all the smiles and cheers from people young and old coming together in the spirit of giving\,” said Keith Creel\, CPKC President and CEO in a release. \nThe Holiday Train makes regular stops in Cochrane every second year. \nSince the Holiday Train program launched in 1999\, it’s raised more than $24.3 million and collected 5.3 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America. \n************************************ \nAll aboard the Holiday Train\, Cochrane!
