SUMMARY:The Cochrane Community Clean-Up
DESCRIPTION:The Cochrane Community Clean Up is back this spring\, inviting residents to come together and help keep local parks\, pathways and green spaces clean. The family-friendly event takes place Saturday\, May 2\, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.\, and everyone is welcome to participate. \nVolunteers can pick up supplies at designated pick-up/drop-off locations across Cochrane. Each site will have garbage bags and a clearly marked drop-off area for collected litter. Participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves and any additional tools they may need. Once the clean-up is complete\, the Town of Cochrane’s Parks and Open Spaces team will collect and dispose of the waste. \n“To help us plan and ensure we have enough supplies\, we encourage community groups and organizations to register in advance with their group size and preferred clean-up site\,” said Carly Davies\, Manager\, Parks & Recreation Services. “It’s a simple way to make a visible difference in our community a great way to spend time together outdoors.” \nCommunity groups that register will also be eligible for a participation prize. The group that collects the most bags per person will win a free block party trailer booking and a $200 grocery gift card. \nRegister your group today at cochrane.ca/community-clean-up and help make a lasting impact in our community. DESCRIPTION:Grab your gloves! The 28th annual Branches and Banks returns to Mitford Park on May 23 to plant trees. \nYou can register at Cochrane Branches & Banks 2026 Tickets\, Saturday\, May 23  •  9 AM – 12 PM | Eventbrite. \n  \n\n\nIt’s the 28th Branches & Banks! Grab your spade and join us for a morning of tree planting with family\, friends\, and neighbours. \n\n\n\nCochrane Branches & Banks is back for the 28th year! This year we will return to Mitford Park to plant in the upper riparian area. This community event is a great outing for all ages\, bring your friends and family or come on your own and meet your neighbours! \nOrganized by CEAC (Cochrane Environmental Action Committee) in partnership with the Town of Cochrane\, over 1200+ trees and bushes will be planted. Be sure to dress for the weather as the event goes ahead rain or shine. Bring gloves and spades for planting. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle. \nOn site Volunteer Check-In starts at 9:00 am – look for the white canopy near the pathway. Parking available in the adjacent parking lot – walk over to the site. \n  \n\n
