DESCRIPTION:Branches & Banks 2025! It’s the 27th year for our community tree plant event! For the first time in a decade we will be back at Mitford Park! We will be planting in the riparian area south of the Mitford ponds. B&B is a great outing for all ages\, bring your friends and family or come on your own and meet some new neighbours!\n\nOrganized by CEAC (Cochrane Environmental Action Committee) in partnership with the Town of Cochrane\, approximately 1\,000+ trees will be planted. Be sure to dress for the weather as the event goes ahead rain or shine. Bring gloves and spades for planting. Don’t forget to bring along your water bottle.\n\nOn site Volunteer Check-In starts at 9:00 am – look for the white canopy near the pathway near the site. Parking available at the Mitford Park parking lot – walk up to the site.\n\nParticipants are requested to register in advance (free of charge) at Eventbrite.

DESCRIPTION:Living Sustainably Series III – Session 02 | Wildfire Smoke & Air Quality in the Bow Valley | Saturday\, January 18 | 10:00 – 11:30amWildfires are occurring more frequently in western Canada\, the resulting wildfire smoke continues to impact air quality in the Bow Valley. The Calgary Region Airshed Zone (CRAZ) monitors\, collects\, and analyzes air quality data in Calgary and the surrounding region.
