DESCRIPTION:Found Books & Shop is excited to welcome back to the stage VEE April 24th!!! \nA concert at Found is focused on artistry over spectacle. \n\nBooks line the walls\, creating a creative\, reflective setting\nThe crowd often includes writers\, readers\, artists\, and music lovers\nThe tone is attentive and respectful—people really listen\nFound is a licensed establishment & has a coffee bar – grab a glass of wine\, latte or beer & settle in\n\n  \nVEE  is an Alberta – based Cree\, multi-disciplinary artist. She is registered and a member of Cowessess FN in SK.She interweaves land\, Indigenous identity\, history\, and language throughout her dance and music creation/performance practice. A classically trained flutist\, she holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Calgary and an MFA in Contemporary Arts from Simon Fraser University. \nWhat to Expect:\nNIYA is her new solo show of electric flute sounds\, synths\, and spoken word. Songs evoke inner landscapes of love\, identity\, and loss. In her signature storytelling woven with humor\, she invites audiences into her intimate world-scape of soothing sounds\, upbeat piano\, and lyric flute melodies.
