An up-close\, personal evening where music and conversation flow together in a way that feels both raw and inspiring.Perfect for music lov \ners\, curious minds\, and anyone who craves connection through art\, Found Sounds transforms our bookstore into a warm\, one-of-a-kind listening space.Sept 27th\, 2025 we welcome Eric John to the stage. \nBorn in Saskatchewan\, Eric’s prairie roots have a deep influence on his musical style and approach to performing. His father was a musician and inspired him at an early age. He got his start playing bass in the church choir and by the time he was ten\, Eric was hooked on music\, performing\, and the art of storytelling. \nOld country music greats like Buck Owens\, Waylon Jennings\, Willie Nelson\, Merle Haggard\, Johnny Cash\, and Kris Kristofferson were played in Eric’s humble family home relentlessly growing up. He’s drawn to modern artists that have the same gifts as these legends and aspire to tell stories and share experiences through music the way they did. Though he played music his whole life\, it’s not until May of 2021 that he has been able to focus much of his time to this dream he’s had since he was 10. “If I can inspire one person with my music\, I will have reached my goal.”

Originating from Newfoundland and Labrador\, their unique blend of Americana and East Coast folk has garnered them widespread recognition. \n\nTheir sophomore album\, “Can’t Hold the Light\,” which delves into the lives of working musicians\, won the 2022 East Coast Music Award (ECMA) for Contemporary Roots Recording of the Year and received two Canadian Folk Music Award nominations. The duo has also been honoured as Music Newfoundland & Labrador’s Group of the Year in 2019\, 2021\, and 2022. \n\nIn 2025\, Quote the Raven received multiple ECMA nominations\, including Album of the Year for their upcoming release\, Map the Dark\, and Roots Release of the Year for their single “Already Gone.” \n\nAs of 2025\, Quote the Raven has achieved over one and a half million streams across various platforms\, reflecting their growing international appeal. Perfect for music lovers\, curious minds\, and anyone who craves connection through art\, Found Sounds transforms our bookstore into a warm\, one-of-a-kind listening space. \nJan 31st\, 2025 we welcome Kate Reid to the stage. \nBorn in Whitehorse\, Yukon\, Kate Reid’s love for country music began at an early age. Inspired by legends like Terri Clark\, Leann Rimes\, Shania Twain\, Dolly Parton\, Sara Evans\, and Reba Mcentire\, Kate would often serenade her neighbors from her backyard swing set with her renditions of their favorite songs. Now a country singer/songwriter based in Calgary\, Alberta\, Kate’s powerful voice and relatable songwriting have set her apart in the Canadian country music scene. With a career that continues to grow\, she has headlined iconic stages\, including Ranchman’s\, and earned accolades such as the Best Original Song award at Ranchman’s Rising Star Competition. Her single “Bang” hit the Top 10 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown\, and she has performed at numerous festivals and venues throughout Alberta. Kate has had the privilege of working with renowned industry professionals\, including Stephen Shiveley\, Charlotte Avenue Entertainment\, Jordan Craig\, and Grant Howarth. In 2021\, she released her debut single “Numb\,” followed by her first music video and her debut EP “I DO” in November 2022.
