DESCRIPTION:In this intro class\, get creative and make your own beautiful stained glass art in this fun\, hands-on workshop! \n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a hands-on stained glass workshop led by Alyce Wickert\, the Crazy Mosaic Lady! You’ll choose a project from a selection of pre-cut kits and learn how to foil and solder your own beautiful suncatcher to take home. \nPlease note that this class teaches stained glass assembly and finishing techniques. You will not be designing your own piece\, or cutting and grinding glass. \nAll materials are provided. No prior experience is required. \nYou’ll be spending time sitting doing detail-oriented work\, as well as using a soldering iron. \nPlease wear comfortable appropriate clothing. \nKindly note: The Common Works reserves the right to cancel this event. Traditionally observed on the third Thursday of May\, this cultural celebration highlights the traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt known as the vyshyvanka\, a garment recognized for its artistry\, symbolism\, and long standing connection to Ukrainian identity. \nThis event offers our community an opportunity to learn about Ukrainian heritage and appreciate the beauty and significance of this enduring cultural art form. We are honoured to welcome the Ukrainian Association of Cochrane as they share this day with the community. \nThis program is open for all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
