They have huge expenses that include feed and vet bills and they recently had to go into full quarantine for over two months due to a bacterial outbreak. The need is greater now than ever. They are raising funds to build infrastructure to safely house and care for the animals\, including a quarantine barn\, vetting space\, more shelters\, more waterers\, training arena and equipment. We will be planting in the riparian area south of the Mitford ponds. B&B is a great outing for all ages\, bring your friends and family or come on your own and meet some new neighbours!\n\nOrganized by CEAC (Cochrane Environmental Action Committee) in partnership with the Town of Cochrane\, approximately 1\,000+ trees will be planted. Be sure to dress for the weather as the event goes ahead rain or shine. Bring gloves and spades for planting. Don’t forget to bring along your water bottle.\n\nOn site Volunteer Check-In starts at 9:00 am – look for the white canopy near the pathway near the site. Parking available at the Mitford Park parking lot – walk up to the site.\n\nParticipants are requested to register in advance (free of charge) at Eventbrite.
